"What can I do for you my son, Ask me anything?"
I asked: Father, I don’t want to take your time, I only ask that you answer me two questions; Do you know the ideal woman I hide in my heart?
God replied: Of course my son, I know the deepest desire of your heart. You long for a woman 3 to 4 years younger than you, and have strong family values. You are attracted to strong cultures, and fantasize about a woman who has the glamour of Hollywood, the romance of Bollywood and the beauty of Nollywood. You want a girl that is athletic, active with a good sense of humor. You expect a sex symbol with the virtue of a nun, a mother to be who is career oriented. You envision a liberated woman who is conservative at the same time. You are ready to accept a woman who reinforces your faith and moderate your vices…tell me, isn’t that so?
“That is true Lord,” I said, “but unfortunately, I do not know any woman like that, have you forgotten about me?”
“No, son, God replied, “I have not; you will find such a woman 7 years from now.”
“7 years…that is too long Lord, why so much time God?”
“It takes patience to find the ideal woman my son...7 years is your IDEAL WAIT.”
“Certainly I cannot wait 7 years” I thought, if I tell God to pick for me, surely He will pick the ideal girl now. “Lord I just want to do your will; just let me know who you do recommend and I may take her.”
“Of course my son", God answered, “I am sure you have seen the young nurse at your dentist office, she is in the right age bracket, has a kind heart, a willingness to know me, the ambition to motivate you and the compassion to support you. She has a patient heart, the caring nature of a mother, the attentive hear of a sister and the devotion of a wife. She also has the humility and wisdom to be receptive to your courtship.”
“The nurse at the dentist office!!?” I screamed incredulous, “but father, she is nothing like my ideal woman, she doesn’t create rumbles in my stomach, sweaty palms when I see her or inexplicable shyness. Her body is not in that great of a shape, and in all frankness, she barely has the curves that capture my imagination, plus she has seen the atrocities in my mouth. She is barely eligible for my fantasies, how could she be my ideal woman? How do you explain that?
"This, my son is IDEAL SACRIFICE."
“I do not understand Lord” I pleaded “I just do not understand.”
In the sight of my despair, God took me in his arms and explained:
“If you take the nurse now, and love her like she deserves, because of her heart and character, she will appreciate you, and do all to make you happy in return. Her effort to please you will transform her, and in 7 years from now, she will be the ideal woman you long for, even beyond; however, since I have already chosen her for you, you still persist on waiting, 7 years from now, you will see her beauty and want her, but she will not take you, and will make you wait for 7 more years. This will mean that you will see your ideal woman 7 years from now, but you will only be able to be with her 14 years from now.”
“Why is that father?" I asked sadly
God replied: “It is so my son, because while it will take her 7 years to be your ideal woman, it will take you 14 years to be her ideal man. This my son, is IDEAL TIMING.”
Finally I asked: "Father if it takes her 7 years to be my ideal woman, me 14 years to be her ideal man, and all this is ideal timing, how is it possible for us to be together now...it obviously won't be ideal time."
God smiled and added: " You are right son, if you wish your ideal woman, you will need to make the ideal wait and sacrifice for the ideal timing; but if you act now, my grace will be sufficient for you...and you won't need ideal timing, you will have PERFECT TIMING."
